ABOUT

Over 100 years of combined industry experience led three Leisure Professionals to discuss and consider how future digitisation opportunities could save time, collect data electronically, save data more effectively and deliver more practical performance analysis.

Engagement with an award winning, national education software development company ‘Earwig Academic’ led to exploration of duplicate challenges within the Leisure and Education Industry, namely; the collection, storage, retrieval and analysis of essential data.

From this evolved identification of key areas, which the digital market could not currently provide an effective solution.

After the ideas came careful research, planning and piloting of a new software toolkit – Butterfly had been born.

Our Services

Butterfly School Swimming

Butterfly is an on-line cloud based software package built to ensure effective collection, monitoring and evaluation of school swimming attendance and attainment, encompassing the National Curriculum KS2 Swimming Assessment Framework.

The Butterfly School Swimming Assessment System has been designed to meet the needs of a live School Swimming environment. Warrington Livewire is an independent Trust serving seventy-three primary schools and provides swimming instruction for over 4,600 pupils.

Accessible via a live website for approved users, the system provides a data collection facility, monitoring of achievement and access to performance reports on an individual school basis, school cluster or in the future, at a regional and national framework.

Butterfly is designed to provide a practical solution for recommendations arising from the Swim England Water Safety Review Group Report (insert link to report) for improving school swimming instruction outcomes. This report concluded that until inspection and reporting methods for school swimming are vastly improved, attainment levels will continue to suffer. “The number of young children at primary school who can swim remains around the 50% mark. This is unacceptable”

Butterfly will provide the solution for accurate collection of data, reporting and direction of finite resources to where they are most needed. Provision of a targeted and accountable School Swimming Lesson Programmes, will enable service providers and schools to ensure best outcomes are achieved and value for money delivered.

Simply complete the enquiry form on our contact page and receive a detailed and illustrated report on the content, application, population and data reporting capability.

Butterfly Training & Development

Butterfly TD is a cloud based solution for effective record capture, sharing of individual records and an unlimited timeline for retrieval of regulatory and corporate compliance records.

This software application will enable streamlining of processes, capture of records and effective document management.

Remote access will enable more effective use of staff resources, assessment and feedback reporting.

Committing time and resources to training is an expensive and demanding but failing to provide effective record capture, monitoring performance and instant record recall is simply a poor and costly organisational risk.

Butterfly Apprentice Assessment

From April 2017 the Government introduced the Apprenticeship Levy. The intention being that all businesses should shoulder the responsibility of growing apprenticeship numbers.

The Apprenticeship Levy is intended to raise £3 billion a year to meet a funding target of 3 million high quality apprentices by 2020.

For all employers operating in the UK with a wage bill of more than 3 million pounds, will pay a levy equivalent to 0.5% of their total salary bill.

The Government has established a Register of Apprenticeship Training provider., Training will be provided to approved industry led apprenticeship standards at affixed tariff for each apprentice. Part of that tariff (circa 20%) must be set aside to commission an Approved Assessment Provider, to undertake an end point assessment.

Butterfly Apprentice Assessment will provide a software support package for completion of an end-point assessment.

The independent assessment will be captured electronically including; knowledge test, competency based interview, assessment of portfolio evidence and professional discussion.

Feedback from the end point assessment process will be provided immediately back to; the Apprentice, employer and training provider.

To discuss your assessment requirements please complete the Contact Form and we will be in touch.
